About this incentive

The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities (CBPU) Residential Rebate Program offers cash incentives to Coldwater, Michigan residential electric customers who install new, energy-efficient equipment. Eligible measures include high-efficiency central air conditioners, air-source and mini-split heat pumps, ENERGY STAR® heat pump water heaters, pool pumps, and smart thermostats. Projects must meet specified efficiency criteria (e.g., SEER >16 for A/C and heat pumps) and be completed between January 1 and December 31, 2025. Applications must be submitted within 90 days of installation or by December 31, 2025, whichever comes first. Customers should include invoices, AHRI certificates (for HVAC equipment), and ENERGY STAR documentation where applicable. Rebates are issued by mail within 4–6 weeks after approval.
