About this incentive

Note: Funding for the Vermont New Plug-in Electric Vehicle (PEV) Incentive Program is exhausted and applications are not being accepted. Future funding is uncertain and will require legislative authorization. Due to state budget cycles, the earliest that funds could become available is mid-2025. Eligibility requirements may change if the program resumes. EVs purchased before then will not be retroactively eligible for a state incentive. The State of Vermont offers a variety of incentives for purchasers of new plug-in electric vehicles and all-electric vehicles. Incentives are available for plug-in electric vehicles that are sold or leased as new with an MSRP of $50,000 or less. Incentives vary by tax filing status.
