About this incentive
Note: The program website is currently not functioning as of early January 2026; however, based on 2025 information, it appears that the program is still operating. Under the County Agricultural Investment Program (CAIP), the Governor's Office of Agricultural Policy (OAP) offers grants for farms that incorporate energy efficiency into their operations. A wide range of energy efficiency technologies are eligible for grants, given they meet the energy savings criteria.* Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. New applications and guidelines are available for each calendar year. Customers may also contact the Office of Agricultural Policy about loans in addition to the grant. Eligible projects include: Upgrades to farm equipment Energy efficient lighting Building Insulation Programmable thermostats and controllers Fans Windows, doors, skylights, roofing Cool Roof systems Tankless, solar, or other efficient water heaters Motors Other equipment specified in the guidelines Program guidelines can be found here .
