*Note: FY26 applications closed on January 30, 2026. Click here for the application. The Alabama Energy Division's State Energy Program is accepting applications for the Energy-Efficient Retrofits Program grant. The grant must be used for the installation of energy-efficiency improvements and may be used by local governments, public K-12 school systems, and non-profit organizations. Energy-efficient measures such as energy-efficient lighting, HVAC replacements, programmable thermostats, solar PV systems (rooftop, parking lot canopy, or a max 60 kW ground installed system), or solar thermal systems that are max 20 kW.
